Statement of Problem |

What is the most economic seeding rate in narrow row continues notill |

Project Objectives |
To determine the lowest seeding rate that affects yield in notill. To
find easist way to gather data and to analyze it. |

Methodology |
Use 6 different seeding rates – these rate would be determined in part
with the help |
Of Gary Kilgore and from the study we did in 2004 - we know that the
lowest seeding rate we used didn't lower yields and that we will have
to determine what that rate is. I propose to use 6 rates jumping 30000
plants each time. Starting at 50000 to 200000. Will use gps to log
planting data , spray data, harvest data and will also use a weight
wagon to ground truth yield data. |

Expected outcome / Benefit to KARA |
Improve understanding of how to build templates in sitemate to use in
Easisuite – to see how close yield monitor data is to grain cart –
then analize data in Easisuit using IntelliCal– to see if trends hold
up. Help those starting out using GPS and KARA members learn from our
experiences |
