Precision agricultural technologies have quickly becoming an
integral part of crop production. However, as these
technologies evolve, many producers are struggling to keep pace
and fully understand the potential benefits and thus are
hesitant to adopt them. Company mergers are also impacting this
technology making it hard to know what or who has the latest
technology resulting in some misunderstanding about product
availability and reliability of technical support. Some are
also challenged with understanding the full capabilities of the
technology and how to program software for the most optimum
effectiveness.
K-State Research and Extension, the Kansas Agricultural Research
Association (KARA) and several prominent companies have come
together again to sponsor a field day to educate crop producers
and agribusiness of the potential benefits of agricultural
technologies and to help address some of the concerns regarding
precision agriculture.
|
| Purpose: |
| |
 |
Participants will learn from individuals who
have developed, evaluated, and used the technologies. |
|
 |
There will be special demonstration areas
where participants have an opportunity to operate many of the
premier guidance systems and observe the performance of the
latest in sprayer technology available today. |
|
 |
Other special related displays
and demonstrations
and hands-on workshops are planned to help participants
become more familiar with using the latest software and
hardware. |
|
|
If you are considering precision
agriculture technologies for your farm or agricultural business,
or are ready for an upgrade, you should attend this event. It
has been designed to be “hands-on” and is very applied in
nature.
